As the commercial sector continues to struggle with bringing the workforce back to the office, Oakland Tower, a 906K sq ft built-to-suit commercial tower, had to embrace the opportunity to not just be an office space but an people-first urban campus on the sunnier side of the bay.
Oakland’s character has always come from its people. A diverse, passionate culture of creativity, ambition and casual ease. Embracing its namesake, Oakland Tower stands tall for a new work style supporting personal wellbeing, natural and community connection, and location flexibility. To showcase this, Allis created a grounded, tactile design through illustration, utilizing construction paper and pencils. This technique, paired with bright colors and idyllic scenes, brought warmth and a deeply human touch rooted in Oakland artistry.

The leasing brochure for Oakland Tower is anything but ordinary. Following the theme of 'Bringing Life to Work,' we set out to bring our illustrations beyond the 2D. After a very digital year of video calls and downloads, we sought a more tactile approach. Through a functional sticker book that was both informative and fun, to a surprising pop-up depicting a lively scene at the foot of the tower. The brochure set an optimistic stage for what the future of work in Oakland can bring.
